Calling all PPE Artists and Crafters

We are currently exploring the possibility of presenting our first PPE Art Exhibition next year. We have many talented artistic PPE residents. I’ll bet you know someone who paints, sculpts, uses mixed media, draws, does photography, quilts, pottery, woodworking and many other forms of the visual arts. But we have never gotten an opportunity to share and showcase our wonderful creations. So let’s do something about it!

If you would like to help plan this exciting new event, please join me at a PPE Art Exhibition Planning meeting after coffee in the clubhouse on Friday 3/8/24.

We welcome anyone that would like to help and who appreciates the arts.

Live Entertainment update

Live Entertainment Review

The Live Entertainment program for February featured three extremely talented young ladies. The trio took the audience on a musical journey from the 1940’s to the present, as they performed hits by “Divas though the Decades.” Their costume changes, well synchronized choreography, vocal agility and strong harmonies created an evening of music that was a truly polished performance.

Up Next

On March 2nd, “Johnny Wild and the Delights” will bring their show to our PPE stage. According to their website, they are “Orlando’s premier ‘50s & ‘60s tribute band playing the hits of Buddy, Hank, Roy, Elvis and many, many more.” I anticipate that there will be a lot of toe tapping and singing along with this group as they bring many of us back to the music of our young selves.

See Terry Butler to purchase your tickets.

Special Social Hour

There will be a SPECIAL SOCIAL HOUR on Monday, February 12 at 4:30 INSIDE the clubhouse.
Vi McLean’s brother, Bill, is visiting. He is a musician and will be entertaining on the piano and guitar.
Bring your own beverage and a snack, dessert or munchie to share.
Plates and napkins will be provided.
Monday, 4:30 in the clubhouse! Hope to see you there!

Live Entertainment Review

The 2024 Live Entertainment Series was kicked off on Jan. 20th with a fun-filled program by the duo, “Spittin’ Image.” The twin brothers told stories, performed songs and choreographed skits into an enjoyable evening. Our own residents created lasting memories in their renditions of “Mustang Sally” and the “Bohemian Rhapsody!”

Coming up on February 10, our PPE stage will resonate with the music made famous by the likes of Tina Turner, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift and more when “Divas through the Ages” joins our line-up.  See Terry Butler to purchase your tickets.  You don’t want to miss this show!
